City of Portland
Roles—Art Direction, Design

Portland Street Response assists people experiencing mental health and behavioral health crises.
The original logo was designed through a formal campaign. The winning design wanted to incorporate different elements of the city and clearly explained the program’s resources. I did the pure skill of translating those ideas into a bold and visible idea that retains the main ideas of community care. The final logo was applied and use thoroughout the programs needs for visbility and traction.


There’s some cool interplay happening between the two circles, they weave in between each other and makes a direct reference to the city’s many bridges and waterways. Some more hidden symbols of umbrellas and rainbows act as another interplay.
